According to proprietor Fernanda Medici, Feijoada (pronounced, “fey-zhoo-ah-dah“) is “considered the national dish of Brazil. Made of a black bean stew with several pork meats and sausages, served over rice. The sides are collard greens sautéed with garlic and bacon, farofa (toasted yucca flour), vinaigrette made with marinated onions, tomatoes and peppers, topped with crunchy Torresmo (pork rinds).”
At just four bucks for a small “taste size” or seven bucks for a regular portion (shown above), this plate is a savory steal.
